Dr. Frank Viggiano
Dr. Frank Viggiano, an expert on consumer electronics, reviews new products and lets you know how they rank. He and his team consult regularly for many companies in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He tests consumer products, authors articles for trade and consumer publications, and is regularly quoted by authors in various media.
Viggiano was professor of Consumer Products at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Indiana, PA and became Professor Emeritus upon retirement. Professor Viggiano instructed the first accredited Consumer Electronics course in the nation. He was the first educator to recognize the consumer electronics discipline, and in 1975 he devised the course and implemented the program within the university curriculum. Dr. Viggiano also teaches Home Theater Design as well as Kitchen and Bath Design. Frank has received the “Distinguished Faculty Award for Teaching ” several times in his career.
Professor Viggiano has appeared on more than 500 television programs throughout the U.S., Canada, and 50 foreign countries. The professor reviews products on the air and provides information, demonstrations, product benefits, and purchase guidelines. Topics of discussion range from consumer electronics to outdoor power equipment, kitchen and bath products, cameras, housewares, auto accessories and health and exercise equipment. His expertise crosses most areas of consumer products marketed to the public. Frank has appeared regularly on CNN and LIVE w/ REGIS & KATHIE LEE since its initial show in 1988.
